Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data this website — the 3D desk and PrabeshOS — collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site is run by Prabesh Khati Chhetri, an individual based in Nepal.

The short version

  • No cookies, no ads and no tracking scripts.
  • Your email address is only collected if you subscribe to the newsletter or send a message.
  • Settings like sound and wallpaper stay in your own browser.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to prabesh/newsletter, your email address is sent to Loops, the email service that manages the list and sends the newsletter. It is used only to send you new posts and project updates.

Loops may record basic engagement, such as whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask me to remove you. See Loops' privacy policy.

Contact form

If you send a message through the contact form, the following is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database:

  • your name, email address and message;
  • a salted hash of your IP address (not the address itself), your country and your browser's user-agent string, used only to prevent spam and abuse.

I use this only to read and reply to your message. Messages may also be forwarded to a private Discord or Slack channel so I see them quickly. They are deleted automatically after 12 months, or sooner if you ask.

Hosting and security

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses and request logs. If visit counting is switched on, it uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or track you across websites. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Cookies and local storage

This site doesn't set any cookies. PrabeshOS uses your browser's local storage to remember choices you make:

  • whether sound is muted
  • the wallpaper you picked
  • anything you type in readme.txt
  • your Bagh-Chal win/loss record

This information never leaves your device, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Who your data is shared with

Your data is never sold or used for advertising. It is shared only with the services named above — Loops, Cloudflare and, when notifications are on, Discord or Slack — which process it on my behalf and may do so outside your country, including in the United States.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how it is used. Email kcprabesh771@gmail.com and I will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 16. Please don't submit personal information if you are under 16.
